Refund Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective Date: September 18, 2026 · Merchant of Record: Paddle.comAll financial transactions on Letterlays are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record. This page describes Letterlays' operational refund process. It does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
1. Nature of Digital Goods
Letterlays provides immediately downloadable digital font files (OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2) and graphic letter overlay assets. Once a transaction is completed, download links and digital entitlements are automatically generated and made accessible in your account library.
2. Try-Before-You-Buy Evaluation
To help you make an informed decision prior to purchase, we provide:
- Free Demo Fonts: A personal evaluation version with essential character sets is available for free download on every font product page.
- Interactive Letterlays Studio: You can test every font, try letter overlays, and inspect render quality in real-time in your browser before completing a checkout.
3. Eligibility for Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your tools. We gladly issue refunds or resolve issues under the following circumstances:
- Defective or Corrupted Files: If a font file or overlay archive is defective, corrupted, or cannot be installed/rendered, we will first provide a working replacement or fix. If the issue cannot be resolved, we will review a refund request.
- Accidental Duplicate Orders: If you accidentally purchased the same font or pack twice under the same or different email address.
- Major Discrepancy: If the delivered asset differs substantially from the specifications advertised on the product page.
- Unauthorized Transactions: In cases of verified fraudulent card activity handled via Paddle.
4. Ineligible Refund Scenarios
Because digital files cannot be physically returned once downloaded:
- Change of mind after the master files have been downloaded from your library, where the file matches the product description and functions properly.
- Lack of required software to open standard OTF/WOFF2 font formats (system requirements are clearly stated on all product pages).
5. Effect of a Refund
Upon issuance of a refund:
- All associated commercial entitlements granted for the refunded order are automatically revoked via webhook in our database.
- Your license to use the font software or overlay assets in commercial projects is terminated immediately.
- You must delete any downloaded files from your computers and storage devices.
6. How to Request Assistance or a Refund
Please contact us at support@letterlays.com with:
- Your order email address
- Paddle Order / Transaction ID (e.g.
txn_...) - Brief description of the problem or defect
We review and respond to all inquiries within 1 business day.
Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot legally be excluded in the country where you purchase. The applicable transaction record and Paddle's refund mechanism determine the payment method and timing of any approved refund.
